WCCI has a long-standing and respected position within rural communities in Uganda and Kenya and because of that, we are positioned to respond rapidly to changing situations on the ground. That means we are there when vulnerable communities are faced with climate induced hazards such as floods or droughts, or man-made hardships such as economic downturns. WCCI is structured to be a one-stop-shop that can help communities cope with future and immediate problems that challenge their livelihoods and lives.
CLIENT: Climate Wise Women
WCCI responded by providing soap and simple water dispensers to needy communities and families for hand washing. Within weeks, WCCI reached 175 families directly and 1225 indirectly in Kenya and 210 directly and 1470 indirectly, with an average household size of 7 members. WCCI also constructed 150 hand wash stations.
